She has the career and single-season home run record (23) for TNU. Perkins helped lead Trevecca to its first two NAIA National Tournament appearances in 2006 and 2007. She was selected to the NFCA and NAIA All-American First Team in 2007.

Perkins was recruited by Angela Sullivan, but played for Sullivan and Ernie Reynolds.
Ernie Reynolds said of Perkins induction, “Jennifer is one of the most competitive natured player I’ve been around or coached. She was at her best in the clutch situations. Her team prospered from her outstanding defensive play and consistent power at the plate. She truly deserves to be considered among the best to have ever played at Trevecca.”

Sullivan said of Perkins, “As a High School standout at Metro Christian, Jennifer spent many hours on the campus of TNU, committing herself to becoming a college caliber softball player. She was a very athletic and determined young lady, whom I knew would fit right into the program we were developing at Trevecca. Never short of a contagious smile and a big bat, Jennifer became one of the biggest power hitters in TNU Softball history!”
After Graduation
After her graduation from Trevecca, Perkins coached at Donelson Christian Academy before moving to Lee University where she served for three seasons as an assistant coach while earning a master’s in education. In 2011 she was hired to start the softball program at Point University in West Point, Ga.

Perkins is from Old Hickory, Tenn., where she played for Metro Christian Academy.

Joining Jennifer Perkins will be her parents, Jeff and Tammy Perkins, and brother, Jonathan Perkins.
