ANGELA SULLIVAN | INDUCTED 2017
In the category of coach
Angela Sullivan, hired by Alan Smith, served as the head softball coach from 2000 to 2004, laying the foundation for the program to become one of the most successful at Trevecca. Sullivan's teams combined for a 138-109 overall record, accumulating more wins in five seasons than the program garnered in its first eight years. In year two of her career, Sullivan led the program to its first winning season since the first soccer season. Her third and fourth seasons brought the programs first 30-win seasons (31-21, 31-17). In 2003 the team reached its first NAIA Regional, picking up a pair of wins while there.
The three-time TranSouth Athletic Conference Coach of the Year averaged 27 wins per season, bettering the 15 wins per season prior. As a testimony to Sullivan's legacy, four of her players already await her in Trevecca's Athletic Hall of Fame. Sullivan finished her run as the winningest coach in program history.
Sullivan and assistant Michelle Gaertner's teams broke more than 20 team records - eight batting, seven pitching, and five fielding. They led the Trojans to their first NAIA Top 25 ranking. Sullivan served the 1999 season as an assistant for then coaches Michael Johnson and Rick Underwood.
