Gary Van Atta coached Jackie Weaver in her senior year at Trevecca. Van Atta said, “Jackie was one of the best players in the NAIA during her two years here leading the NAIA in blocks and setting numerous records. Her will to win was tremendous and she was always in the gym working on her game outside of practice. She loved to play and helped lead us to the best single-season record in school history at 31-5. The honor is well deserved for her play on the court and her contributions to the Trevecca community overall.”
