Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca's (12-8, 2-1 TranSouth) baseball team concluded their
nine-game home stand with a 23-5 rout of Lindsey Wilson College (4-7) on Monday.
Ryan
Whitson (2-0) got the win for the Trojans as he received plenty of
offensive and defensive help. The Trojans had 26 hits and scored 23
runs with just one error. The game was scheduled for nine innings, but
was shortened to seven innings due to the 10-run rule. Whitson lated
five innings and allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits and
three walks. He had one strike out.
Offensively the Trojans had 14
different batters get a hit and a 15th batter reached twice on a pair
of walks. Aaron Bree and Cody Heggie both had three hits in the game.
Ross Muirhead, Matt Tidwell, and Trey Morrison each had three RBI.
Blair Haskins and Heggie scored three runs apiece. Nine Trojans had
extra base hits and five had stolen bases. .
Trevecca will visit former TranSouth member and NAIA No. 2 Lee University (21-1) on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Cleveland, Tenn. Lee is
coached by former Trojan Mark Brew.
