NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University track and field will compete in the 2026 Gulf South Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, April 29 through May 1, at the Montevallo Track and Field Stadium in Montevallo.

The meet marks the final event for Trevecca Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Austin Selby, who announced he will step down following the season. Selby has led the program since its inception and has served in the role for 13 years.

Trevecca enters the championship following a series of recent performances that included two program records and multiple personal-best marks.
Shaniya Hudson holds program records in the women's 100-meter and 200-meter events this season, including a 26.58 mark in the 200 meters. Hadar Biger has set the program record in the women's 1500 meters at 4:42.77 and has also recorded a win in the 5,000 meters earlier this season.
On the men's side, Caden Meeks owns the outdoor 800-meter program record at 1:55.17. Jadon Hickman set the program record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.96.
In field events, Campbell Johnson has recorded a program-best 38.63 meters in the javelin, while Margaret Chauncy holds the program record in the women's pole vault at 3.07 meters.
Trevecca has also recorded event wins during the 2026 season from Joshua Novotny in the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters, Jack Jaeger in the 2,000-meter steeplechase, and Johnson in the javelin.
The three-day championship begins Wednesday, with schedules and final entries set by the conference prior to competition.
