CLEVELAND, Tenn. — The Trevecca Nazarene University men's and women's track and field teams closed out the Lee University Invitational on Saturday with event wins, two school records, and multiple personal-best performances across both squads, building on a strong opening weekend to the outdoor season.
Jadon Hickman highlighted the day, setting a program record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.96 seconds to finish eighth overall. He added a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles at 56.56. The Trojans also set a school record in the 4x100-meter relay, as the quartet of Calvin Wall, Luke Varden, Grant Allen and Zion Griffin posted a time of 42.34 to place fifth.
The performances followed a productive Friday, where Campbell Johnson won the javelin and Joshua Novotny claimed the 10,000-meter title.
Trevecca's men's squad accounted for much of the Saturday production, with Hickman, Anthony Kosinski and Hadar Biger each recording personal-best performances. Kosinski posted a time of 17:47.75 in the 5,000 meters, while Biger finished fifth in 17:51.49.
On the women's side, Hailey Holloway recorded a personal-best 2:25.41 in the 800 meters. Biger's 5,000-meter performance also led the women's distance group, while Johnson's javelin victory on Friday set the tone for the weekend.
Dayton Floyd placed ninth in the 110-meter hurdles (16.79), and Zion Griffin finished eighth in the 100-meter dash (10.62). Freshman Calvin Wall added a 10.83 performance in the 100 meters.
Trevecca produced multiple top-10 finishes and personal bests across sprint, distance and field events over the two-day meet.
Trevecca returns to competition next weekend at the UAB Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama.
