Box Score NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (2-2) opened its 14-match conference schedule with a 3-1 loss to Tiffin University (2-1) on Thursday at the Trojan Soccer Complex.
THE SERIES
Tiffin extends its unbeaten run against Trevecca and has now won all seven matches against the Trojans since joining the Great Midwest in 2018.
THE MATCH
Tiffin got going early on when John Oshakpemhe received a pass from Thierry Van Den Berg to put the Dragons on the board just six minutes into the game. Tiffin controlled the pace in the first half, and Thierry Van Den Berg got his second assist of the half when he passed it to Zachary Bin Ghazie to put the Dragons up 2-0 just before the half.
The Trojans came out determined in the second half as Marlon Grossman scored his fourth goal in as many games to cut the Trojans deficit to 2-1 in the 52nd minute. Tiffin would put the game out of reach in the 85th minute to make the score 3-1.

Trevecca hits the road next week for a pair of matches against Great Midwest rivals Cedarville University (2-0-1) on Thursday, September 15 at 6:00 p.m. and then Lake Erie College (1-1-1) on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
