NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University junior forward Chris Douglas has been named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, earning his fourth TSWA selection of the season after helping the Trojans make more program history.
Douglas also was selected this week as the Gulf South Conference Player of the Week and the tipped by D2CIDA as the National NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
Douglas scored five goals and added an assist for 11 points as Trevecca defeated Spring Hill 4-0 on Oct. 14 and won 3-0 at then-No. 10 Auburn Montgomery on Oct. 17. He contributed directly to six of the Trojans' seven goals, put eight of his nine shots on target and became Trevecca's NCAA Division II-era career goals leader.
The six-foot junior from St. Johns, Antigua, and The Webb School opened the week with his second hat trick of the season against Spring Hill. He scored at 42:57, 66:02 and 77:20, turning four shots into three goals in the home victory.
At AUM, Douglas helped put Trevecca in front by assisting
Daniel Shiel's goal at 6:09. He then finished twice in the second half, at 47:31 and 88:37, with
Haden Brown assisting both goals. His final finish was the 26th of his career, moving him past Jeremiah Wright's NCAA-era record of 25.
Trevecca's first victory in the AUM series delivered a program-record 11th win and secured the Trojans' first home Gulf South Conference Championship quarterfinal.
THE WEEK AT A GLANCE
