Box Score CANTON, Ohio. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (5-9, 3-8 Great Midwest) lost 1-0 on the road at Malone University (4-11, 2-9 Great Midwest) on Saturday afternoon.
THE SERIES
Malone broke a two-match win streak by the Trojans in the series. TNU leads the all-time series 6-3.
THE MATCH
The match played even through most of the match. Both teams ended the match with six shots on goal and Trevecca with a slight 14-10 edge in total shots. Trevecca led the corners 5-3.
The match turned the Pioneer's way when Mason Gradel fed Christian Piccolotto who buried a shot past Trevecca keeper Adan Gonzalez at 83:21.
Gonzales had five saves keeping the match close till the end.
UP NEXT
Trevecca returns home to face Findlay (7-5-1, 5-4-1 Great Midwest) on Thursday (10/20) at 7:00 PM and Cedarville (8-5-1, 6-4 Great Midwest) visits on Saturday (10/22) at 2:30 PM at the Trevecca Soccer Complex. Findlay has won the last two meetings, giving them a 4-2j edge in the series. Cedarville owns a 14-2-3 edge in the series and have taken the W in the last two meetings.
