KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (7-3, 0-0 G-MAC) defeated Northern State University (4-6), 5-3, in the Trojans opener at the 2019 PFX The Spring Games at Osceola Softball Complex. Their second game is against University of the Sciences (0-3).

HOW IT HAPPENED

GAME ONE:  Megan Groves started the scoring in the first with a SAC bunt, driving in MaKray Odom who reached to lead off the inning and then added a stolen base … Odom added to the Trojan lead driving in Kelsey Seitz with a single … the Wolves plated three runs on three hits in the fourth to take a 3-2 lead … in the bottom of the sixth Trevecca scored three runs of their own on three hits … Mary Colliins opened the inning with  a single, Kaylor Chaffin pinch ran, before Tana Whited singled, an out later Bailey Alexander reached on a fielder's choice and drove in Chaffin, Kelsey Seitz singled to drive in Whited and Alexander

PLAYER STATS REPORT

GAME ONE:  Savannah Carr (3-2) pitched a complete game allowing only one earned run on five hits and two walks while striking out three … MaKray Odom went 2-3 with a run scored, two stolen bases, and an RBI … Mary Collins went 2-3 … Kelsey Seitz went 3-3 with a run scored, two RBI, a double, and a triple, Bailey Alexander scored a run, stole a base, and drove in a run … the Trojans outhit the Wolves 8-5 and both teams committed an error
