The Trojans (10-10, 6-10 GSC) controlled the game behind solid pitching and timely hitting, earning the conference win over CBU (5-21-1, 1-14 GSC).
Series History
Dating back to March 13, 2013, this marked the 15th all-time meeting between the two in-state programs. Trevecca has consistently had the upper hand in the series, improving its record to 12-3 overall against the Buccaneers.

Trevecca 3, CBU 0
Trevecca set the tone early and maintained control throughout the contest, using consistent offensive pressure and strong play in the circle.
At the center of the effort was
Bailey Goad, who delivered another standout performance. The Trojan pitcher recorded her fifth complete game of the season, working efficiently and keeping CBU's offense in check to the tune of 7.0 complete innings with four strikeouts and no runs.
Offensively, Trevecca capitalized on key opportunities, stringing together hits in crucial moments to build and maintain its advantage. In the 2nd inning,
Sarah Kinderdine recorded a sacrifice fly to put Trevecca on the board. Shortly following,
Brianna Asmondy belted a two-run homer, her fifth of the year, in the same inning to extend the Trojan lead to 3-0. The three-run frame in the 2nd would prove to be all the support
Bailey Goad would need to pick up her seventh win of her freshman season.
The Trojans' defense also played a key role, limiting scoring chances and supporting Goad's complete-game effort to secure the road victory.
