VIENNA, W. Va. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (2-10-1, 1-8-1 Great Midwest) lost 3-0 to Ohio Valley University (9-3-2, 7-2-2 Great Midwest) on Thursday afternoon at the OVU Soccer Field.

THE SERIES

Ohio Valley strengthens its advantage in the all-time series with its 8th win over the Trojans all-time. OVU leads 8-5-1 all-time against TNU.

THE MATCH

The Trojans and Fighting Scots played to a 0-0 draw after the first 45 minutes. Trevecca limited Ohio Valley to just five first half shots. The match remained scoreless for over 65 minutes before OVU's Logan Bellone struck with a goal at 66:03. Bellone's goal was assisted by Cristian Gutierrez. Gutierrez found the back of the net just minutes later at 69:08 with a goal which was assisted by Nicolas Rodriguez. The Fighting Scots finished off the Trojans with their third goal at 79:38 off the boot of Hugo Kadima. Kadima's goal was serviced by Rodriguez for his second assist of the match.

WHAT'S NEXT 

The Trojans close the week with a meeting against Alderson Broaddus University (5-7-1, 4-5-1 Great Midwest) on Saturday at 3:00 PM. The Battlers own a 6-3 all-time after handing the Trojans a 6-0 result last season.
