CARROLLTON, Ga. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf team finished play at the University of West Georgia Matt Dyas Invitational. The Trojans placed sixth with Ryan Rozic seventh and 13th respectively at the 54-hole event.

Trevecca finished sixth overally with the program's fourth best 36-hole score (574) and the sixth best 18-hole round in the second round (283). The 870 is the fourth best 54-hole total in program history as well.

The five-under par 283 in the second round is the team's third par or better round this season, tying them for third in program history.

TREVECCA PLAYER NOTES
Ryan Rozic
Rozic's 210 is the third lowest 54-hole total in program history.
Â
Rozic shot his 16th, 17th, and 18th career par or better rounds and is ranked fourth all time. Only Turner, Joey Bradley, and Larken Whittemore have more.

Rozic now has six par or better round this season, which ranks him 10th on the all-time season list with a semester of play to come.

Rozic shot one-under par on the par three holes and his 2.92 average ranked third in the field. He averaged a three-under par 3.90 on the par four holes, fifth best in the field.

During Monday's morning round, Rozic birdied one hole and shot par on the other 17 holes. Those 17 pars led the field through the first round. In the second round Rozic collected five birdies. He only recorded one hole with a score above par the entire day on Monday. He added three birdies on Tuesday to total nine over the three rounds. Those nine moved his career total to 109 and into 11th place all-time.

Rozic shot par on 42 of the 54 holes, meaning he only shot over par on three holes over the three rounds.

Ryan Rozic's 68 in the second round is the 11th best single round in program history. It is one short of his best round as a Trojan and this season. He shot a 67 in the first round of the Midwest Regional two weeks ago. He previously shot a 68 at last year's Great Midwest Championships.

Rozic's 36-hole total of 139 is tied for the sixth best in program history. It ties his Trevecca best 36-hole total. The senior recorded a 139 on two other occasions.

Blain Turner
Turner's 213 is the fourth-best 54-hole total in Trevecca history. Turner and Larken Whittemore both have a 204 on their record as the best in program history.

The junior continued adding to his TNU career record for par or better rounds with his 32nd, 33rd, and 34th this week. Â Â

Turner shot a four-under par average of 4.67 on the par five holes, ranking him 11th in the field.

Turner now owns seven par or better round this season, which ranks him 9th on the all-time season list with a semester of play to come.
Â
Turner's 141 over the first 36 holes is the 16th best 36-hole total in program history.
Â
Turner turned in three birdies in the opening round Monday with just one bogie. In the second round he added four and three on Tuesday for a 10-birdie tournament.

Conner Conkel
Conkel's 223 matches his best effort of the season. He also shot 223 at the Doc Spragg Invitational earlier this fall. Conkel also recorded his second par or better round of the year.

Conkel birdied three holes in the first round adding three more in the second for a total of six on the day.

Solomon Zarling
Zarling's 225 is his best 54-hole total of the year.

Zarling birdied three holes during each round on Monday and finished with 10 after a four-birdie third round.

Ryan Demit
The freshman recorded his career best with a 230 and picked up his second par or better round.
Â
Demit turned in two birdies in the first round pushed his total to five with three in the second round. The freshman added three birdies Tuesday for eight in the event.

THE FIELD: TEAMS
West Georgia took the title at their own event with a 286-272-278=836. Lee University and Delta State tied for second with a 845.

THE FIELD: MEDALIST
Zach Zediker of Delta State paced the field through the first 18 holes with a course-blistering 66, but fell to second through 36-holes with a 66-71=137. He surged again on Tuesday to get the Medalist win with a 66-71-66=203.

Tuesday's play at the Dyas Invite concludes the fall portion of the schedule with the team returning to action in February with the Matlock Invitational hosted by Florida Southern at the Lone Palm Golf club in Lakeland, Florida. Check out the  Â
