DICKSON, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf team climbed into a tie for fifth place after two rounds of the 2026 Gulf South Conference Championships at Greystone Golf Club.

The three-round event features nine teams and 46 golfers competing in stroke play on the par 72, 6,858-yard course.
Trevecca followed its opening round 297 with a 2-under-par 286 on Tuesday to move to 583 (+7) for the tournament, tied with Valdosta State for fifth place.
At the top of the leaderboard, No. 1 West Florida (-11, 565) holds a two-shot advantage over No. 2 Lee (-9, 567) heading into the final round. Mississippi College sits third at 3-under 573, while Union moved into fourth at 2-under 574 after posting one of the best rounds of the day.
TEAM NOTES
Trevecca's second-round 286 was the fourth best team scores of the day and allowed the Trojans to move up one position in the standings.
Wilson Borders leads Trevecca and is tied for 11th at 1-under-par 143. He followed a first-round 73 with a 2-under-par 70 in Tuesday's round.
Maddox Burton is tied for 16th at 1-over-par 145, improving with a 2-under-par 70 after opening with a 75.
Weston Lowry is tied for 18th at 2-over-par 146, posting rounds of 74 and 72.
Alex Hamm is tied for 24th at 5-over-par 149 with rounds of 75 and 74.
Lucas Barrett is 42nd at 18-over-par 162 after rounds of 84 and 78.
Through 36 holes, Trevecca ranks fifth in the field in par four scoring with a 4.05 average. The Trojans have totaled 23 birdies and rank second in the field with 122 pars.
Borders is tied for third in the field on par three scoring at 3-under-par with a 3.85 average. Lowry is tied for eighth on par four scoring at 1-under-par with a 3.95 average.
Borders leads the Trojans with six birdies, while Lowry and Burton have five each. Hamm has added four birdies and Barrett has three.
Hamm leads the field with 28 pars. Lowry is third with 27 pars, and Burton ranks among the top 10 with 26.
Trevecca's improvement in round two followed a steady opening round where the Trojans ranked fourth in the field in par four scoring (4.08 average) and totaled 58 pars, second-most in the field.
Individually, Mississippi College's Joao Iglesias continues to lead the medalist race at 9-under-par 135, while several players remain within striking distance entering Wednesday's final round.
