Trevecca Men’s Golf | Trojans Win and Set Records at Music City Invitational

OLD HICKORY, Tenn. – Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf delivered a record-setting performance to win the 2026 Trevecca Music City Invitational on Tuesday at the General's Retreat Course at Hermitage Golf Course.

Trevecca placed two teams in the 16-team field of 87 golfers, with Team A capturing the title with an 836 (271-279-286) and Team B finishing seventh with a 857 (281-292-284) in the 54-hole championship.

The General's Retreat Course, set at par 70 over 6,600 yards, played slightly more challenging than in previous years, but Trevecca responded with one of their best performances in program history.

It is the first team win for the program since taking the 2021 Great Midwest Conference Championship.

TEAM A NOTES

Team A (Alex Hamm, Maddox Burton, Wilson Borders, Weston Lowry, Laird Williams) established multiple program records during the event. The 54-hole total of 836 is the lowest in school history across both the NAIA and NCAA eras. The Trojans also set a 36-hole record with a 550 and opened the tournament with a program-best 271, with all four counting scores under par in the first round.

Alex Hamm led the Trojans with a runner-up finish at five-under-par 205 (66-70-69), one stroke off medalist honors. Hamm recorded par-or-better score in all three rounds, opening with a four-under 66, followed by an even-par 70 and a one-under 69. His 36-hole total of 136 ranks among the top 10 in program history.

The 205 ties Hamm for second among the top 54-hole performances in program history, sitting one stroke off the school record. His opening round 66 ties for the third-lowest single round in program history.

Maddox Burton finished ninth at one-under-par 209 (68-70-71), also ranking among the top 10 54-hole totals in program history.

Weston Lowry posted a 36-hole total of 136, placing him among the program's top 10 for that mark.

Team A produced six rounds under par, including Burton (68), Wilson Borders (69), and Lowry (68, 68).

TEAM B NOTES

Team B (Lucas Barrett, Thibau DeLange, Anderw Reeves, Paul Swanepoel, Ryan Applin) added to the overall performance with a seventh-place finish and a 54-hole total of 857, which ranks among the top 10 in program history.

Lucas Barrett led Team B with a one-under-par 209 (69-69-71), finishing ninth overall. He recorded two rounds of 69 and joins the list of top 10 54-hole scores in program history.

Andrew Reeves highlighted the group with a 67 in the second round.

Team B recorded five rounds of par-or-better, including three under-par performances.

TEAM A / TEAM B NOTES

Across both teams, Trevecca combined for 13 rounds of par-or-better, with nine under par.

Team A led the field on par four scoring at six-under-par with a 3.97 average and tied for fourth on par fives at five-under-par with a 4.83 average. The Trojans totaled 46 birdies, third in the field, and led the tournament with 177 pars.

Hamm and Barrett tied for the best par three scoring average at even par.

Burton led the field on par fours at six-under-par with a 3.83 average, while Lowry finished tied for seventh at two-under-par with a 3.94 average.

Lowry also tied for fifth on par fives at three-under-par with a 4.50 average.

Borders and Lowry tied for fourth in the field with 12 birdies each, while Reeves ranked ninth with 11.

Hamm led all players with 43 pars, and Barrett finished seventh with 38.

Trevecca's performance marked one of the most complete tournaments in program history, combining depth, consistency, and record-setting scoring across both teams.
