The Trojans broke through first when Tom Watson (SR/Derby, United Kingdom) headed in a goal off a David Brookes (JR/Dublin, Ireland ) corner kick at 2:11 … the Trojans went up 1-0 and held the advantage until 14:19 when OVU's Juan Munoz leveled things at 1-1 … Munoz's goal was unassisted and the score would not change the rest of the half … in the first half TNU had five fouls to OVU's three … the Fighting Scots outshot the Trojans 11-2 … goalkeeper Tyler Delgado (JR/Spring Hill, TN) made three first half saves to keep the score 1-1 … OVU was kept out of the goal until Duvan Erazo broke the tie at 65:49 … Erazo's goal was unassisted and ended up being the game winning goal … five minutes later Nicolas Rodriguez scored to put OVU up 3-1 … Rodriguez's goal was assisted by Juan Hoyos … OVU outshot TNU 24-4 … TNU (12) had more fouls than OVU (8) … OVU took seven corner kicks to TNU's two … OVU had five yellow cards to TNU's two.

WHAT THE RESULT MEANS

*The win moves Ohio Valley back into first place in the G-MAC. They are now tied with Tiffin at 18 points on the top of the table.

*The Trojans now are in sole possession of fifth place in the table.

MAN OF THE MATCH

OVU'S Duvan Erazo scored the game winning goal at 65:49 … the goal gave the Fighting Scots a 2-1 advantage and the momentum to score just five minutes later.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Trojans remain at home to host Great Midwest Athletic Conference opponent Walsh University (5-5-1, 3-5-1 G-MAC) on Thursday, October 4th at 4PM.

The Trojans and Cavaliers met for the first time last season with Walsh coming away with a 3-1 victory.
