VIENNA, W. Va. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (5-2-1, 4-2-0 G-MAC) defeated Great Midwest Athletic Conference leader and nationally ranked Ohio Valley University (8-1-0, 4-1-0 G-MAC) for the first time in three years, 1-0 at OVU Soccer Field on Saturday.

Entering today, the Fighting Scots had claimed the last six meetings. The Trojans had won four straight games before then, with the teams playing to a tie in the first ever meeting. The all-time series favors Ohio Valley 6-5-1.

*The win moves the Trojans into third place in the G-MAC while the Fighting Scots move into a tie for first with Tiffin.

 

*The win is the Trojans highest over a nationally ranked opponent. Ohio Valley entered the match the number two team in all of Division II.

 

*The Trojans have won three straight matches, outscoring opponents 10-2 in that span.

 

*The clean sheet is the Trojans first this season.

 

MAN OF THE MATCH

Ethan Keogh collected his fifth goal of the season to help the Trojans secure the win … Keogh is now tied with Nicolas Reinhard (SR/Heiligkreuzsteinach, Germany) for the most goals on the team which is also fourth most in the G-MAC.
