NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene University Men's Soccer team (2-2-2, 2-1-1  G-MAC) won 2-1 over Cedarville University (2-4, 2-2 G-MAC) in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference match played at Trojan Soccer Complex.

Trevecca 2, Cedarville 1

The Trojans struck first with a goal by Ethan Keogh (JR/Athlone, Ireland) in the 12th minute. Keogh's goal was his third of the season and was assisted by Michael Jones (FR/Freetown, Sierra Leone). The Yellow Jackets responded nearly three minutes later with a goal by Levi Haight. The score remained 1-1 at halftime. The second half highlight came on Reed Coffman (SO/Hendersonville, TN)'s game winning goal in the 87th minute. Coffman took the ball from Carlos Bravo (FR/Smyrna, TN), and stuck the ball by Yellow Jacket keeper, Graham Sachteben in the right side of the net.

Ethan Keogh and Reed Coffman had goals to boost the Trojans, with Coffman's being the game winner …  Michael Jones and Carlos Bravo picked up assists ... Trojan keeper, Tyler Delgado (SO/Spring Hill, TN) made six saves and got the win. Delgado improves to 2-2-2 this season.

TROJAN TEAM TRENDS

Trevecca had seven shots, four of which were on goal ... Cedarville players combined for 14 shots of which seven were on goal ... TNU had four corners … it is the first win for the Trojans over the Yellow Jackets, the all-time record is 1-9-2.

WHAT'S NEXT

Trevecca continues Great Midwest play on the road Thursday, Sept. 21 at 6:30 PM when they collide with new conference foe Walsh University (2-2-1, 1-1 G-MAC). This will be the 1st NCAA era meeting between the two teams.
