NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (4-5-2, 4-4-1 G-MAC) defeated Davis & Elkins College (8-2-2, 7-1-2 G-MAC) 3-2 in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference match played at Trojan Soccer Complex on Thursday. It is the first loss of the year in Great Midwest play for D&E.

Trevecca 3, Davis & Elkins 2

The Trojans would use every minute of Thursday night's match to take down Davis & Elkins, a team without a conference loss this season. Three goals were scored in the final five minutes of the first half as Rafa Moreno scored an unassisted goal for the Senators in the 41st minute. The Trojans countered with a goal from Ethan Keogh and Michael Jones. Davis & Elkins managed to tie the match at 2-2 in the 56th minute. Reed Coffman scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute. Coffman's goal was his fourth goal of the season and was assisted by Nicolas Reinhard.

Reed Coffman scored the game-winning goal for the Trojans … Michael Jones and Ethan Keogh also scored for the Trojans … Trojan keeper, Tyler Delgado made four saves and got the win. Trevecca will be back at Trojan Soccer Complex for Great Midwest play on Oct. 14 at 3:30 PM when they collide with conference foe Alderson Broaddus University (6-6-2, 5-3-2 G-MAC). This will be the eighth NCAA era meeting between the two teams. Trevecca is 2-5 against Alderson Broaddus losing their last contest.
