PHILIPPI, W.Va. - The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (6-7-1, 4-4-1 G-MAC) defeated the Alderson Broaddus University Battlers (6-5-2, 6-4 G-MAC) 2-1 in a Great-Midwest Athletic Conference match.

The Trojans own a winning road record on the season at 4-3-1 away from the Trojan Pitch. The Trojans leveled their conference record at 4-4-1 with three matches left on the slate, all at home. With their next win, the Trojans will equal their overall and conference win total for all of last season.

 The first goal of the game was by Trojan Jeremiah Wright (SR/Columbia, TN) in the 18th minute (17:01). The second goal was off of the head of Nicolas Reinhard (SO/Heiligkreuzsteinach, Germany) on a pass from Frank Down (JR/Ballincollg, Ireland) in the 21st minute to put the Trojans up 2-0.

The Battlers got on the board as Alec Andall and Ashley Sibisi assisted to Shavon John-Brown in the 39th minute (38:27).  

Tyler Delgado (FR/Spring Hill, TN) had six saves on the night as seven shots were on goal. The Trojans had eight shots on the night three of those shots were on goal.

The Trojans are now 2-4 overall against the Battlers all-time. The win is the first for the Trojans at ABU.

Next up for the Trojans they host Ohio Valley University (10-4, 7-2 G-MAC) on Thursday at 7:30PM. The Trojans are 4-3-1 against the Fighting Scots all-time. The Scots edged the Trojans 3-2 on Sept. 10 in their first meeting this year in Vienna, WV.
