ELKINS, W.Va. - The Trevecca Nazarene University men's soccer team (5-7-1, 3-4-1 G-MAC) were defeated by the Davis & Elkins College Senators (7-3-2, 6-2-1 G-MAC) 3-2 in a Great-Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) match.

The first goal was scored by Pablo Salvador Lopez on a pass from Tim Staerz in the 32nd minute (31:57) to give the Senators a 1-0 lead. The Trojans answered the goal in the 56th minute (55:52) when Nicolas Reinhard (SO/Heiligkreuzsteinach, Germany) passed to Baylor McKay (SR/Brentwood, TN) who finished to even the score 1-1.

The Senators scored in the 61st minute (60:36) when Abel Ameyaw received a pass from Tim Staerz to give the Senators the lead back 2-1. The game winning goal for the Senators came two minutes later when Ross Stewart passed to Tim Staerz in the 63rd minute (62:05) for a 3-1 Senator lead.

Trevecca answered back by getting a team goal at the 80th minute (79:53) for the final goal of the game.

Tyler Delgado (FR/Spring Hill, TN) had six saves during the match as the Senators had nine shots throughout the match.

The Trojans are 2-4 overall against the Senators all-time.

Next up for the Trojans an away match against the Alderson Broaddus Battlers (6-5-2, 6-3 G-MAC) on Saturday in Philippi, WV at 6:30PM. The Trojans are 1-4 against the Battlers all-time and have lost their previous three matches against the Battlers.
