Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca men's soccer team (3-3, 2-1 G-MAC) rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Ohio Valley University (2-3, 0-2 G-MAC) 4-2 in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference on Thursday at the Trojan Soccer Complex.

Trevecca will host a second G-MAC match this week on Saturday when Salem International University (3-2, 1-2 G-MAC) will visit for a 7 PM match on the Hill.

Trevecca coach Danny Leavy enjoyed his teams ability to withstand the slow start, "It was an entertaining game and good to see our guys hold their nerve when we got down early. I was proud of them for getting even before the first half was over. Then we just chipped away in the second half and got the go-ahead goal with Ryan and then took control when Jeremiah put the fourth away."

"Salem is always a tricky game and they can do some good things at times and will be a tough challenge for us. We look forward to playing them in front of another great home crowd on Saturday."

The Fighting Scots scored two goals in the first nine minutes to startle the home crowd at the Trojan Soccer Complex. Angel Riano scored in the 6th minute (6:27) and in the 8th minute (8:55), Ivan Pereira added a goal. Both goals were unassisted

Baylor McKay (JR/Brentwood, TN) rose to the occasion and scored the first Trojan goal in the 11th minute (11:38) with an assist from Nicolas Reinhard (FR/Germany)st over seven minutes later Reinhard equaled the score at 2-2 with a goal in the 18th minute (18:48).

The teams went to the break tied 2-2.

Both teams continued to put pressure on the keepers, but neither team could get the go-ahead goal through the first 40 minutes. OVU had six those while TNU produced eight in the second half. OVU keeper Carlos Rubio had three second-half saves while Daniel Mudd (JR/Shelbyville, TN) had five in the period for TNU. Â

Trevecca broke through in the 85th minute (85:45) when Ryan Hogan (JR/Ballincollig, Ireland)Â finished off a header from Liam Roche (JR/Northhampton, England) after a corner kick from Jordan Gilmore (JR/Portadown, Northern Ireland) and scored what would prove to be the game winner.

Less than two minutes later Jeremiah Wright (JR/Columbia, TN) got a feed from Jake Singer (SO/Donelson, TN) galloped half the field and finished a beautiful goal through several defenders. The Wright goal came in the 87th minute (87:14) and sealed the win for the Trojans.Â
