AIKEN, SC - Trevecca (0-2) lost 19-6 after a late rally by host University of South Carolina at Aiken (4-0) was enough for the Pacers to edge the Trojans at Roberto Hernandez Stadium on Friday.

Aiken scored nine runs off of nine hits, two Trojan errors and left three on base in the first inning. They added five more runs over the next four innings.

In the top of the sixth, Tyler Tichenor (JR/Centertown, Ky) reached on an error by the second baseman. Hunter Newman (JR/Chapmansboro, Tenn.) followed with a single to advance Tichenor. Micah Blount (JR/Birmingham, Ala.) reached on a catcher's interference, advancing Newman and putting Tichenor in scoring position. A single from Ethan Hurt (SO/Pegram, Tenn.) was enough to bring in both Tichenor and Newman putting the Trojans on the board, 2-14. In the bottom of the sixth, the Pacers would add five more runs off four hits and one Trojan error.

Trevecca made their final effort to bridge the gap in the top of the ninth inning. Four runs off of one hit and two Aiken errors would finish the game for the Pacers, 19-6.

The Trojans saw a total of four hits to Pacers 21, six errors to Pacers five.
