Trevecca, West Alabama, and West Florida enter the Easter weekend tied atop the Gulf South Conference standings at 16-5 in league play. West Alabama is 26-7 overall, while Trevecca is 25-10.

In the latest NCBWA Top 25, West Alabama is ranked No. 15, West Florida is No. 12, and Trevecca is No. 25.

Gregory Ruff, the voice of the Trojans for more than 30 years and a 2025 Trevecca Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, leads the return to radio. Stephen Swoner will handle play-by-play duties for the series in Livingston.

Ruff's connection to Trevecca Athletics spans decades. After completing his undergraduate work in 1987, he returned to Trevecca in 1998 to establish the university's first Office of Sports Information and serve as the first Director of Sports Broadcasting.

He later became the first full-time sports information director in program history and was named assistant athletic director in 2020. His leadership has guided the development of tnutrojans.com, athletic communications, and the expansion of broadcast and digital coverage for Trojan Athletics.

Ruff's play-by-play experience includes work with Belmont University men's and women's basketball, Vanderbilt women's basketball and baseball, Ohio Valley Conference championships, and the NAIA National Championships Network. He has also called numerous high school state championship events and contributed to national radio networks.

At Trevecca, Ruff helped lead the early adoption of digital broadcasting, including live audio streaming in the early 2000s and live video streaming beginning in 2006.

Swoner, a Mt. Juliet High School graduate, was a quarterback for the Bears football program and also competed in baseball. He played collegiately at Rhodes College before an injury shifted his focus to broadcasting. He is currently pursuing his master's degree at Trevecca and is part of the university's media relations and broadcasting team.

His father, Billy Swoner, played baseball at McGavock and has contributed to Trevecca baseball broadcasts on FloCollege.
