Box Score LEBANON, Tenn. – Down a player for the final 32 minutes of the match, Trevecca (3-3-1, 0-1 G-MAC) rallied to a 2-1 overtime win over Cumberland (2-7-1) as freshman Jeremiah Wright picked an opportune time to score his first collegiate goal.

In the 92nd minute, Matt Raines sent a long pass forward to a streaking Wright who did the rest lifting the Trojans to victory.

The first half saw TNU out-shoot Cumberland 11-3 but it yielded no scoring as Bulldogs goalkeeper Ian Hamilton had a pair of saves.

Bulldogs defender Mark Harrison had CU's best chance to break the scoreless tie in the 35th minute but his header was saved by TNU's Braydon Brown.

In the second half, Cumberland would look poised to capture the lead after Brown was issued a red card in the 60th minute after a hand ball outside of the box. Six minutes later, Harry Mason found the back of the net as a cross from Tom Reilly deflected off the post and was put back in.

Trevecca would rally though. Raines would deliver the equalizer in the 80th minute as a one-timer from Bruno De Moraes was tapped over Hamilton to tie the score at 1-1.

The Trojans would get two more shots off in the final ten minutes but the match would go into overtime.

Cumberland would be unable to do anything offensively in the extra period before Wright closed the match with his golden goal.

Raines tallied a goal and an assist while De Moraes added an assist of his own. Brown recorded a pair of saves before being issued a red card. His replacement, Richie Reichenberger denied two shots as well.

In all, TNU out-shot Cumberland 22-8 and held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Trevecca returns to action Sept. 28 as they travel to Kentucky Wesleyan (1-4-1, 0-1 G-MAC) for a Great Midwest Athletic Conference match scheduled for a 12 p.m. start.
