LOCUST GROVE, Ga. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf team finished second at The SCAD Cup played at the Heron Bay Golf Club this week.
Maddox Burton and
Weston Lowry each posted a six-over-par 150 and tied for fifth overall. The SCAD Cup, originally scheduled for 54-holes was cut to 36-holes due to weather on Monday.
Maddox Burton posted the Trojans lone red score with a one-under-par 71 in Tuesday's round.
Weston Lowry recorded the only other par-or-better round with an even-par 72 on Tuesday.
The seven teams and 37 individual golfers were tested over the 6,866-yard course that played to a par of 72.
TROJAN HIGHLIGHTS
As a team, the Trojans led the field on the par five holes with a one-over-par average of 5.03 and were second on the par three holes with a 3.23 average.
The team led the field with 106 pars and were third in birdies with 19.
On the par three holes,
Alex Hamm tied for the second-best average with a one-under-par 2.88 average.
On the par four holes,
Weston Lowry tied for fourth with a 4.20 average.
On the par five holes, Lowry finished tied for second with a three-under-par 4.63 average.
Lucas Barrett came in third with a two-under-par average at 4.75.
UP NEXT
The final regular season event is the Music City Invitational, hosted by Trevecca, on March 30-31 at the General's Retreat Course at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tenn.
The 2026 Gulf South Conference Championships are scheduled for the Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn. April 20-22.
