IRVINE, Calif. – The Trevecca Nazarene University STUNT team (2-2), ranked No. 9 in the College STUNT Preseason Poll, opened its West Coast swing with a pair of contests against two highly ranked opponents Thursday at CU Arena, hosted by Concordia University Irvine.

Trevecca faced No. 3 Concordia University Irvine in the opener before taking on top-ranked Hope International, the No. 1 team in the NAIA.

GM 1: No.  Concordia Irvine 30, No.  Trevecca 16

The third-ranked Golden Eagles jumped out to an early advantage, winning the opening quarter 5–1. Trevecca responded with a strong second quarter, but CUI outscored TNU 5-4, still leading 10–5 at halftime.

Concordia Irvine maintained control in the second half, taking the third quarter 5–3 before closing the match with a 15–8 fourth quarter to secure the 30–16 victory.

With the win, CUI took the lead in the all-time series, 2–1.

GM 2: No.  Hope International 24, No. 9 Trevecca 3

In the second contest, top-ranked Hope International established control early, winning the first quarter 5–1 and the second 4–1 to take a 9–2 lead into halftime.

The Royals continued their dominance in the third quarter with a 4–1 advantage and capped the match with an 11–0 fourth quarter shutout, completing the 24–3 victory.

Hope International now leads the all-time series 2–0.

Trevecca continues its West Coast trip Friday, Feb. 6, at Darling Pavilion in Fullerton, Calif., facing No. 10 Saint Mary's (2–2) and Northwest Nazarene (0–1). The trip concludes Saturday, Feb. 7, also at Darling Pavilion, with matchups against No. 6 Vanguard (0–0) and Fresno Pacific (1–1).

Trevecca leads the all-time series against Saint Mary's 1–0, while Vanguard holds a 1–0 series edge. Friday marks the first-ever meetings with Northwest Nazarene and Fresno Pacific.
