Trevecca STUNT | Trojans Split Day 1 at College STUNT Championships, Face Tiffin Friday at 10:15 AM

NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University STUNT (20-9) opened the 2026 College STUNT National Championships for NCAA Division II with a 27-22 win over #9 Ashland University on Thursday morning at Allen Arena on the Lipscomb University campus. In the afternoon, #1 Oklahoma Baptist handled the Trojans 16-3.

The Trojans, the No. 8 seed, defeated former G-MAC foe and No. 9 Ashland (16-8, 8-2 G-MAC) in the opening round of the double-elimination tournament to move forward in the winner's bracket.

The loss to #1 OBU (14-1) sends the Trojans to the elimination bracket to face another former G-MAC foe, #11 Tiffin University at 10:15 AM on Friday.

The winner of the Tiffin Dragons and Trevecca Trojans meeting in Game 11 advances to Game 15 at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, the loser is eliminated.

The earlier Ashland win earned TNU its second consecutive 20-win season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

OBU jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter and built on it with a 5-3 edge in the second. The Bison led 9-3 at the half. OBU solidified its margin with a 4-0 and 3-0 wins in the third and fourth quarters.

SERIES HISTORY: TREVECCA VS. OBU

Oklahoma Baptist won the two previous meetings between the programs, including a 30-6 result earlier this season at the SEU Invitational in Austin, Texas, and a 24-1 decision at the 2024 College STUNT Nationals. OBU leads the series 3-0.

SERIES NOTES: TREVECCA VS. TIFFIN

Trevecca is 6-0 against Tiffin all-time as the two were members of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference when the Trojans started the STUNT program. The teams met earlier this year at the Music City STUNT Classic. Trevecca won that meeting 27-11.

CHAMPIONSHIP SETTING

The 2026 College STUNT National Championships are April 23–26 in Nashville at Allen Arena, located at 4021 Granny White Pike.

This marks the second consecutive year the event is hosted in Nashville.

Tickets are available through the championship website, with daily admission set at $20 for adults and $10 for children, seniors, and students.
