NASHVILLE – The Gulf South Conference announced its men's golf weekly awards presented by Athletic Solutions for performances through Tuesday, Feb. 24, with Weston Lowry of the Trevecca Nazarene University Trojans earning GSC Freshman of the Week honors.

Lowry led the Trojans at the Oldfield Classic, hosted by USC Beaufort at Oldfield Golf Course in Okatie, S.C., finishing tied for 16th in a field of 90 golfers representing 16 teams. The 54-hole event was played on a par-72 course measuring 7,142 yards.

Over three rounds, Lowry posted scores of 75, 71, and 74 for a four-over-par total of 220. His second-round 71 marked Trevecca's lowest round of the tournament and was the only par-or-better round recorded by a Trojan during the event. The product of Lipscomb Academy in Nashville led the team with 10 birdies and tied for fourth in the field with a 4.5 scoring average on par-five holes.

The performance represented Lowry's second-lowest 54-hole total of the season, one stroke off his season-best 219, and his second-lowest 18-hole score of the year. Trevecca finished 12th in the team standings with a 49-over-par 913. Lowry has four par-or-better rounds on the season. Two rounds of 70 and two rounds of 71.

The Trojans will return to action March 16–17 at the SCAD Cup, hosted by the Savannah College of Arts and Design at Heron Bay Golf and Country Club in Locust Grove, Ga. Trevecca will then host the Music City Invitational on March 30–31 at the General's Retreat Course at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tenn., to close the regular season.

The 2026 Gulf South Conference Championships are scheduled for April 20–22 at Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn.
