CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University Track & Field teams opened the 2025 Gulf South Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday, but battled weather delays on Friday and an significantly adjusted Saturday schedule.
Trevecca head coach Austin Selby shared his thoughts on the season and the program's first Gulf South Outdoor Championship appearance, "We are proud of the entire group for dealing with the well below optimal conditions. They faced numerous delays, and today, we started a competition earlier than anyone on the team had ever experienced in their career – and they took it in stride, and a lot of folks got the job done. It was special for us as a group to open up the GSC Championship account, and we believe we paved the way for many more deposits!"
