KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University Track & Field teams had a split squad this week. On Friday, there were several Trojans competing in Louisville at the Bellarmine University hosted Jim Vargo Invitational and others were in Knoxville for the University of Tennessee Invitational. Due to weather concerns in Louisville, the meet was cut to just Friday. There were several Trojans competing again on Saturday in Knoxville, with good results.
There were three school records set on Saturday as well as a NCAA provisional qualifying time achieved and a top 20 Gulf South time recorded.
SATURDAY NOTES
The Men's 4x400m Relay team, made up of Lucas Baggott, Noel Chambers, Dayton Floyd, and Julius Turnipseed IV, set a new school record. They posted a 3:16.32 which is also the No. 2 time in the Gulf South this season and the No. 6 time in the NCAA South Region.
Julius Turnipseed IV posted a time of 47.80 in the 400m, giving him the No. 2 time this season in the Gulf South and the No. 3 NCAA South Region time this year. He's No. 33 in all of NCAA Division II.
Men 100m
Zion Griffin ran the 100m Dash in 10.44, setting a new school record and is a NCAA Provisional qualifying time.
It is also the No. 1 Gulf South time this season and the No. 18 *NCAA DII time.

FRIDAY NOTES
Lucas Baggott, at the Tennessee Invitational, posted the 20th best NCAA Division II time this season in the Men 400m Hurdles, coming in third with a 53.18 time. It is the fourth best Gulf South time and the fifth best NCAA South Region time this season.
The teams head to California April 16-17-18 for the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Azusa Pacific University Meet.
