CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University Track & Field teams are competing in the 2025 Gulf South Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships for the first time. The championships are hosted by Lee University at the Ray Conn Sports Complex.
Several Trojans have posted some of the top times or distances in the Gulf South this season in their respective outdoor events.
Zion Griffin has the best GSC 100m time (10.44) and has the third best 200m time (21.52). His 100m time is a NCAA Provisional Qualifying time.
Julius Turnipseed IV was selected as the Gulf South Track Performer of the Week once this season and grabbed GSC Freshman of the Week four times this season. The Nashville native owns the second best 400m time (47.80) in the GSC this season and the ninth best 200m (21.85) time this season.
Lucas Baggott is fifth in the GSC this season with a 400m Hurdle time of 53.18. He has the 12th best 400m time (49.22).
Jadon Hickman (56.78) and Dayton Floyd (56.93) have the ninth and tenth best 400m Hurdle times.
Caden Meeks has the best Mile time (4:26.34) in the GSC this season. Caleb Hinson has the second-best time in the. Mile (4:28.55). In fact, Trevecca has the top four Mile times in the GSC with Moritz Freyer (4:32.79) and Joshua Novotny (4:37.60) coming in next.
Joshua Novotny has the tenth best 10K time this year at 32:26.36.
Landon Mason has the ninth best Hammer throw in the league this year at 45.14m.
The Trojan men have the third best 4x400m Relay time of the year, coming in at 3:15.91. Just outside a NCAA Provisional Qualifying time.
On the women's side Raegan Heldt has the eighth best 800m time (2:18.67).
de Beer has the tenth best 400m Hurdle time (1:10.88) and Nina Willoughby the tenth (1:12.36).Chane
Ashley Alsvig recorded the seventh-best 3000m Steeplechase time (12:06.95) this year.
Campbell Johnson has the sixth best Javelin throw (38.01m) of the year.
