Trevecca Men's Golf | Trojan Maddox Burton Named Gulf South Golfer of the Week
NASHVILLE – Maddox Burton, a sophomore on the Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf team, is this week's Gulf South Conference Player of the Week.
Burton, who finished second of 92 golfers at the 2025 Music City Invitational, shot a 69-69-66=204. The sophomore shot red numbers in every round and finished just one stroke back of the Medalist.
Maddox Burton sank 12 birdies
Burton had the second-best par four average in the field with five-under par 3.86 average.
Burton had a pair of one-under par 69's on day one, fueled by seven birdies, four in the first round.
In the third round Tuesday, Burton added five birdies during his four-under-par round of 66.
Burton finished ninth in the field with 37 pars.
UP NEXT
The Trojans head to the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate on April 7-8. The tournament is back at the Hermitage Golf Course, but this time on the President's Reserve.
The Gulf South Conference Championships are April 17-19 at the Tunica National Golf Course in Tunica, Miss.
