NASHVILLE - Trevecca Nazarene University STUNT (27-5) split their first day of action at the NCAA Division II College STUNT Nationals. The nationals are being held at Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.
No. 6 Trevecca beat No. 11 Tiffin University (10-12) 13-3 in their opener and dropped a decision to No. 3 Jessup University (13-6) 15-2. Trevecca faces Ashland University on Friday in an elimination game.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Trevecca opened the College STUNT Nationals with their first-ever win at the championships. Trevecca defeated former conference foe, Tiffin, 13-3. Trevecca improved to 3-0 versus the Dragon this season.
This season, STUNT passed the addition of a mercy rule during nationals. Once the scoreline becomes out of reach for either team, the game is called. Trevecca secured that advantage after the second routine of the fourth quarter.
Trevecca opened up a 7-0 advantage through the first two quarters, missing the maximum points possible by just one. After the 3-1 edge in the third quarter, Trevecca led 10-1. Then pushed the mercy rule into effect opening the fourth with a 3-2 score.
Trevecca is 5-0 all-time versus Tiffin.

JESSUP UNIVERSITY // 15-2
Jessup, the three-time national champion, scored every available point in their 15-2 win.

The win by Jessup pushes their record at College STUNT Nationals to 10-1. They won the last three NAIA National titles before moving up to NCAA Division II in 2025. They eventually improved to 12-1 at the nationals all-time after beating Davenport and Oklahoma Baptist before falling to Davenport in the College STUNT NCAA Division II Finals.
Jessup led 4-1 after one quarter and 8-1 at the half. Jessup took a 12-2 lead after winning the third quarter 4-1. They secured the win with a 3-0 score in the first routine of the fourth quarter.
This was the first all-time meeting between Trevecca and Jessup in STUNT.
Trevecca advanced to play Ashland on Friday in the double-elimination nationals.
