NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University STUNT team (27-4) open the 2025 STUNT College Division II Nationals on Thursday (April 23) at 12:45 PM. The NCAA Division II Championships are being hosted inside Allen Arena on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville.
The Trojans finished second in the Mid America West Conference (MAWC) regular season and tournament are the sixth seed at nationals. The Trojans are the only DII team in the MAWC, all the rest of the teams are NCAA Division I. Three of the four losses this season are to conference champion University of Kentucky.
NCAA DIVISION II STUNT NATIONALS
The top eleven teams make nationals, and the 2025 are April 23-27, 2025.
The Trojans open the double elimination tournament taking on No. 11 seed Tiffin University on Thursday at 12:45 PM in Allen Arena.
The winner of the Tiffin / Trevecca game (Game 3) moves on to play No. 3 Jessup at 7:45 PM on Thursday in Game 7. The Tiffin / Trevecca loser faces the loser of Game 5 in an elimination game on Friday at 11:15 AM.

EXTRAORDINARY PROGRAM START
Trevecca head coach Kelly Quigley has established a nationally competitive program in less than two seasons. After winning the Great Midwest regular season title last year and pushing the team to the conference tournament finals, the team advanced to their first College STUNT Nationals in their first season. That first team finished 18-9 overall and 9-1 in conference play.
The program didn't slow in year two, boasting a 27-4 mark overall and a 5-1 mark in their new home, the Mid America West Conference.
Meaning, the program has gone 45-13 overall and 14-2 in conference play.
The team has been ranked in the College STUNT rankings Top 10 most of their history and have surged as high as No. 5.
The team has advanced to their conference tournament finals each season and finished no lower than second in the regular season. Now, they are in their second College STUNT nationals in as many seasons.
MID AMERICA WEST CONFERENCE
The Trojans finished second in the regular season and second in the MAWC Conference Tournament. Their only losses were to the MAWC Champion University of Kentucky Wildcats.
The Trojans are the only non-NCAA Division I team in the league.
Three of the four Trevecca losses this season have come to the University of Kentucky. The other was to NAIA No. 1 Hope International.
2025 ALL MID AMERICAN WEST CONFERENCE TEAM
The Trojans received the MAWC Runner-Up trophy as well as two All-Conference selections: Mikayla McCoy (First Team) and Erica DeLaughter (Second Team).
WHAT IS STUNT?
STUNT is a head-to-head competition between two teams that focuses on the technical and athletic aspects of cheer. It is one of the fastest-growing female sports in the United States.
