OLD HICKORY, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf team hosted the 2025 Music City Invitational at the Hermitage Golf Course. The 17 teams and 92 golfers completed 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday.
The Trojans A team rallied to finish sixth overall with a 292-279-281=855. The Trojans B team finished strong in tenth place with a 288-284-289=861.
Maddox Burton led the team, finishing second overall, with a 69-69-66=204. The sophomore shot red numbers in every slot and finished just one stroke back of the Medalist.
The 12 combined Trojan golfers produced 85 birdies on the day. Maddox Burton and Logan Cook led the Trojans with 12 birdies each.
The Trevecca B team finished tied for first with the Trevecca A team on the par five holes with an eight-under-par 4.37 average. They were eighth in the field on the par three holes averaging 3.25. The Trevecca B team had 34 birdies. The Trevecca B team finished fourth in the field with 172 pars.
The Trevecca A team finished eighth on the par four holes with a 4.12 average score. The Trevecca A team collected 42 birdies, which ranked fourth in the field. The Trevecca A team finished eighth in the field with 161 pars.

TROJAN INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
Maddox Burton
Burton had the second-best par four average at five-under par 3.86.
Burton had a pair of one-under par 69's fueled by seven birdies, four in the first round.
In the third round, Burton added five birdies in his four-under-par 66 round.
Burton finished ninth in the field with 37 pars.
Alex Hamm
Hamm had eight birdies, three in his second round one-under par 69 effort.
Thibau DeLange
He had seven birdies, three in the third round when he carded an even-par 70.
Wilson Borders
Borders scored five birdies, two in the third round.
William Moser
Borders had 10 birdies, seven in the third round when he shot an even-par 70.
Lucas Barrett
Barrett had six birdies on the tournament with four in the second round. Three of his second-round birdies came on consecutive holes (7-8-9).
He shot a two-under 68 in the second round.
Barrett finished fourth in the field with 39 pars.
Logan Cook
He recorded seven birdies in the first round when he shot a one-under 69.
Cook tied for fourth in the field on the par five holes with a three-under-par 4.50 average.
Kai Heilckert
He shot a one-under 69 in the second round on the back of four birdies.
He finished with seven birdies.
Heilckert tied for fourth in the field on the par five holes with a three-under-par 4.50 average.
Cooper Roberts
Roberts had four birdies on Monday with three in the second round.
Josh Breland
Breland had five birdies, three on the back nine of the third round.
Jack Kenmare
Kenmare scored eight birdies, five on Monday. Four came in the second round. Three of the birdies came on consecutive holes (15-16-17).
Zane Johnson
Johnson didn't play in the final round.
Johnson had the seventh best average on the par-three holes at 3.00 through the first 36-holes.
Johnson was consistent with 22 pars recorded and a single birdie on Monday.

There were 17 teams in the 2025 Trevecca Music City Invitational. When you add in seven golfers playing as individuals from across five schools, there are 92 golfers. Trevecca is fielding a pair of teams and an additional two golfers who are playing as an individual.
There are six teams (counting Trevecca's second entry) from the Gulf South Conference. Three teams are playing from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
The teams play 36 holes on Monday and a final 18 on Tuesday. The course is a little more challenging this year with a par 70 setup.
General's Retreat course, built in 1986 with architect Gary Roger Baird, hosted the LPGA Sara Lee Classic from 1988 to 1999. Having been voted the "Best Golf Course in Nashville."
With the beautiful setting along the Cumberland River and a variety of tee placements, golfers of all capabilities thoroughly enjoy the golf, scenery and hospitality offered at the Hermitage Golf Course.
