Trevecca STUNT | No. 8 Trojans Sweep Through Maryville Classic

CREVE COEUR, Mo. – The No. 8 Trevecca Nazarene University STUNT team (15-1, 4-1 MAWC) swept through the Maryville University Classic this weekend in their Simon Athletic Center, located just outside of St. Louis, extending their winning streak to 14 games.

Sunday's games included a 19-3 win over conference foe Central Arkansas (0-4) and a 18-8 win over East Stroudsburg University (2-4). 

On Saturday, Trevecca beat Central Methodist (2-1) 24-0, then secured a 17-7 victory over Tiffin (6-6).

The Trojans, now in their second season, are competing in the Mid America West Conference (MAWC), which features programs such as the University of Kentucky, University of Tennessee at Martin, Mercyhurst University, Missouri State University, and the University of Central Arkansas.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GM 1 // CENTRAL ARKANSAS // 19-3
Trevecca is now 2-0 against Central Arkansas Bears. Trevecca took a 3-1 lead in the first quarter and expanded that with a 4-1 result in the second quarter. The Trojans built on the 7-2 halftime lead with a 2-0 third quarter score, heading to the fourth quarter up 9-2. The Trojans rolled in the fourth quarter with a 10-1 advantage. Finishing the fourth quarter scoring 8 and only allowing 2 fourth quarter points.  

Trevecca defeated the Bears 17-3 last April in their only previous meeting. 

GM 2 // EAST STROUDSBURG // 18-8
In the first all-time meeting with the Warriors, Trevecca opened the first quarter with a 3-1 lead and expanded it with a 6-2 halftime lead with a 2-3 third quarter score, heading to the fourth quarter up 8-5. The Trojans finished the fourth quarter scoring 10 and only allowed 3 more East Stroudsburg points.  

UP NEXT

Trevecca heads to the west coast for the Pacific Northwest Open beginning March 14 at George Fox University (Newberg, Ore.). They'll play five games on the trip.

The Trojans end the regular season, beginning March 27 at Trojan Fieldhouse, hosting one of the most significant College STUNT events of 2025. Make plans to attend the Music City STUNT Classic March 27-29 at Trevecca.
