NASHVILLE - The Trevecca Nazarene University track and field teams opened their outdoor season on Friday and Saturday, dodging severe weather running through and around the Memphis area, at the Rhodes College Invitational, setting the stage for a successful run through the spring. The Lynx host their home meets at the historic Crain Field on their campus in Memphis.

The Trojans joined the rest of the field fighting high winds to post respectable times and marks in their opening outdoor meet.

Four men's outdoor records were broken or tied and Raegan Heldt won the 400m dash with a time of 1:02.74.

The men's 4x100m relay team finished second and broke the school outdoor record with a time of 42.05 - Dayton Floyd, Julius Turnipseed IV, Kaleel Stewart, Zion Griffin.

Jadon Hickman finished sixth and broke his own record in the 110m high hurdles with a time of 16.51.

Lucas Baggott broke his outdoor school record in the 400m dash with a time of 49.22.  

Zion Griffin tied his own school record while finishing second in the 100m dash with a time of 10.76.

Noel Chambers has the fastest freshman 400m dash time, 50.12, recorded in program history.

The 4x100m relay team just missed the school record with a time of 52.46 -

Chane de Beer, Ava Skaggs, Nina Willoughby, Jamelia Stovall.
