NASHVILLE – The No. 9 Trevecca Nazarene University STUNT team (11-1, 3-1 MAWC) ran their winning streak to ten with a pair of wins on the final day of the 2025 STUNT Opener at Trevecca.
Trevecca beat Missouri Baptist (5-3) 18-12, then turned in a perfect score, 24-0, over the University of South Carolina (2-2).
The Trojans, now in their second season, are competing in the Mid America West Conference (MAWC), which features programs such as the University of Kentucky, University of Tennessee at Martin, Mercyhurst University, Missouri State University, and the University of Central Arkansas.
The Trojans are currently second in the conference at 3-1, second only to the University of Kentucky. The Wildcats are 4-0 and the only team to beat the Trojans.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GM 1 // MISSOURI BAPTIST // 18-12
Trevecca took a 3-1 lead through the first quarter and led 7-3 at the half with a 4-2 edge in quarter two. The third quarter was even 2-2, giving TNU a 9-5 lead going to the fourth quarter. Missouri Baptist kept the pressure on in the fourth, but the Trojans escaped with a 9-7 advantage in the quarter.
It is the second meeting of the year, Trevecca beat MBU 21-6 on February 2, 2025 at the University of Kentucky.
GM 2 // UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA // 24-0
Trevecca scored the max points in the first three quarter (four), taking a 12-0 lead to the fourth. In the fourth quarter, Trevecca again collected the max points, scoring 12 for a 24-0 lead.
UP NEXT
Trevecca heads to the Maryville University in St. Louis this weekend.
Trevecca takes on Central Methodist University (0-0) and Tiffin University (5-4) on Saturday, then on Sunday, the Trojans take on the University of Central Arkansas (0-0) and East Stroudsburg University (0-0).
