NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball sophomore
Addison Cunnagin, a right-side hitter, is the Gulf South Conference volleyball player of the week for the week ending Sunday, October 25, 2025.
It is her second weekly award this year, the Somerset, Kentucky native was the Tennessee Sports Writer's Association (TSWA) Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 5, 2025.
Cunnagin played a central role in leading the Trojans to a 2-1 week, keeping Trevecca in second place in Gulf South Conference play with an 11-3 mark. The Trojans, who are 17-6 overall, hit the road this week, playing three in a row away from Trojan Fieldhouse.
She set a career record with 23 kills against Christian Brothers on Tuesday. She added 11 digs for a double-double. She hit .500 in the match on the road with the Bucs.
On the week she had 4.31 kills per set with a total of 56. She hit .333 for the week. She added 23 digs and nine blocks while turning in 62.5 points on the week.
A graduate of Somerset Christian High School, Cunnagin currently leads the Gulf South Conference in points and total kills. She is second in kills per set and in the Top 10 in attack percentage.
Trevecca jumped out to their best start in the NCAA Division II era (since 2013) with a 15-3 overall record and had an all-time program best conference start at 9-0. The Trojans also tied a school record, winning 10-consecutive matches.
The Trojans head to Mississippi College on Halloween, Oct. 31, in Clinton, Miss. Then Saturday, the Trojans play West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama. The three-game road swing concludes in Cleveland, Tenn. on Thursday, Nov. 6 when the Trojans take on Lee University.
The Trojans end the season with a three game homestand, beginning with a Trevecca Homecoming weekend game against Auburn University at Montgomery visiting on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Noon.
