CLINTON, Miss. – The Trevecca Nazarene University cross country teams became the first Trevecca teams to compete in a Gulf South Conference Championship on Saturday, running on the Choctaw Trails for the conference championships.

TROJAN WOMEN / 6K
Picked ninth in the preseason poll, the women's team performed well with a seventh-place finish of the 12 teams.
Remmy Arney crossed the line first for the Trojans with a sub-24 time of 23:52.4.
Ximena Acosta set a PR with a time of 25:48.9 and a fifth-place finish on the team.
The Purple and White have gained momentum over the season and in the last regular season NCAA Division II South Region poll, the team came in ranked eighth.

TROJAN MEN / 8K
The men's side finished 10th of 11 with
Joshua Novotny, running a team-best 26:08.6. Novotny earned the first Gulf South hardware for the Trojans when he was named GSC Freshman of the Week for October 2, 2024.
Joel White was the only Trojan to collect a PR today, breaking under 30 minutes for a seventh-place team finish. The Trojan men were selected ninth in the preseason GSC poll, edged out by Montevallo for that finish.
The Trojans have impressed this season, making it into the NCAA Division II Top 10 two different weeks.

After a week off next Saturday, the Trojans take on their first-ever NCAA South Regional Championships on November 9.
The South Regionals are at the John C. Hunt cross country course in Huntsville, Alabama and will test the Trojans over 6K for the women and 10K for the men.
