HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Trevecca Nazarene University cross country teams took on the John C. Hunt course at the UAH Charger Invitational on Saturday as a final tune-up for the Gulf South Conference Championships.
The women's team finished 20th of 34.
Remmy Arney led the Trojans with over a minute PR of 23:28.1. Arney finished as the 19th highest GSC athlete just behind Emily Liddle of Lee.
Ximena Acosta,
Kathryn Williams,
Hailey Carmichael and
Sarah Gwen Arnold also set PRs.
The men's side finished 24th of 35.
Joshua Novotny produced a team-best 25:58.7 for a PR, one of 12 on the day.

There were five Trojans with a PR for the women.
Raegan Heldt just missed adding another PR by two seconds. In total, Trevecca was the fourth highest GSC finisher, scoring 13 points lower than next placed Valdosta State. Christian Brothers, West Alabama and Delta State finished behind the Trojans while Alabama-Huntsville, Lee and Mississippi College placed higher.

TROJAN MEN / 8K
A total of 12 Trojans recorded a new PR today for the men.
Joshua Novotny ran sub-26 for a near 40-second PR. Trevecca finished just behind West Alabama while Christian Brothers, Mississippi College and Lee also placed ahead of the Trojans. Trevecca beat out fellow GSC members Valdosta State.

UP NEXT
After a week off next Saturday, the Trojans take on their first-ever Gulf South Conference Championships on October 26.
The GSC Championships are at the Valdosta State cross country course in Valdosta, Georgia and will test the Trojans over 6K for the women and 8K for the men.
