NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University cross country teams competed in the Louisville Cross Country Classic at the E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park as part of the "Live in the Lou."
The women finished second overall in the Silver Race with
Hope Ilias finishing 12
th overall and the team had four sub-20-minute performances (
Hope Ilias,
Ruth Penney,
Madelyn Ferrel,
Samantha Roberts). Last year at this same meet the women's team finished 22nd.
For the Trojan men,
Hamzah Abo-Hashema finished fourth of 389 participants in the Silver Race.
The men competed on the 8000m course while the women were tested over the 5000m course.

TROJAN WOMEN / 5K
The Trojans finished with a time of 1:39:28.20 and an average time of 19:53.64.
The women's team saw PR's for

TROJAN MEN / 8K
The men finished No. 20 of the 48 teams entered in the Silver Race. The team had a total time of 2:18.01.10 and average time of 27:36.22.
