LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf finished with a 313-303=621 at the Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) Invitational at the Kearney Hill Golf Links this weekend. The course played to a par of 72 over 7023 yards.
The field played in cold and windy conditions, with highs only reaching between 38-41 on both days.
The Trojans finished 20th of 21 teams, while Alex Hamm is the low Trojan finishing tied for 36th in the field of 124 individual golfers.
Hamm finished with an even-par 72 on Sunday and a two-day total of 151. Hamm was steady on Sunday, with 16 pars and one birdie.
THE TROJAN REPORT
As a team, the Trojans had 20 birdies – nine on Saturday and eleven on Sunday. William Moser and Zane Johnson each collected five.
THE REST OF THE FIELD
Alex Bishop of Purdue-Northwest led wire-to-wire for the individual Medalist honors with a 70-72=142.
Davenport was second after the first round but won the team competition with a 297-286=583.
UP NEXT
The Findlay Spring Invitational is next in Lexington but at the UK Club (Big Blue Course) March 27-28. It serves as a preview of the 2023 Great Midwest Championships venue.
