HUNTSVILLE, Ala.– Trevecca Nazarene University baseball (0-7) visited the University of Alabama-Huntsville (7-5) on Wednesday afternoon and fell 13-6.

SERIES HISTORY/NOTES

The Chargers have the all-time lead in the series, 10-5. The Trojans won last year's meeting in Huntsville on February 16^th, 2022, 11-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Trojans got on the board in the first inning when Josh Griffin scored on a hit-by-pitch to David Milam with the bases loaded. The Trojans added another run in the second inning when Garrett Smith was brought home by an Andru Becker RBI single. Alabama-Huntsville got on the board as well in the second. Then the Trojans regained their two-run lead in the third. Henry Mosley scored on a sac fly-out by Logan West. The Chargers got going as they responded with a run in the third, then four runs in the fifth, and three runs in the sixth to go up 9-3. The Trojans cut the deficit to 9-5 in the seventh inning. Then the Chargers scored four more runs to make it 13-5. The Trojans attempted to rally in the ninth but came up short.

CIRCLE AND BOX NOTES:

Logan West went 1-4 with two RBIs.
Paxton Hughes went 2-3 with an RBI.
David Milam went 1-3 with a double and an RBI.

UP NEXT

The Trojans will host Lewis University (1-0) for a three-game series starting Thursday at 4:00 PM. The Trojans have a 6-5 advantage against Lewis and swept the three-game series last season.
