ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Trevecca Nazarene University cross country sent part of its team to compete at two different meets this weekend. Today it was the prestigious field at the Lewis Crossover Invitational at the Lewis University Course in Romeoville, Ill.

The Trojans faced a field that included several nationally ranked teams for the men and women as both TNU teams competed one last time before the post season starts in two weeks at the 2023 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships.

The Lewis Crossover field is always talented, and this year continues that tradition with eight nationally-ranked programs in the men's field. A field that included the likes of defending national champion Colorado Mines; joining No. 1 Mines were No. 5 Colorado Christian, No.10 Saginaw Valley State, No.11 Western Washington, No.15 Wayne State, No.18 Walsh, No.22 Lewis, and No.30 Alaska Anchorage.

The packed field on the women's side included nine nationally ranked team: Grand Valley is ranked No. 1, thought they didn't field their full roster, No. 3 Colorado Mines, No. 4 Winona State, No. 9 Colorado Christian, No. 13 Biola, No. 16 Lewis, No. 23 Wayne State, No. 26 Saginaw Valley State, No. 27 Western Washington, and No. 29 Walsh University.

Additionally, several regional ranked teams competed today in both the men and women's fields.

Coach Selby said, "At a meet like this, you can have a day, and still be well back in the final standings – both as a team and individual. There's no mistaking I am incredibly pleased with what our men and women did today. We don't mind rubbing elbows with the best, it only makes us better and prepares us for the postseason. This was the perfect way to wrap the regular season up!"

The men, who were tested over 8000 meters, finished 29 of 31 teams.

The women, running the 6000-meter distance for the first time this season, finished 30 of 33 teams.

The men and women had members of their roster run in the Brescia Invitation on Friday with the women finishing second. Full Brescia Recap.
