MURRAY, Ky. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf team finished its last fall event with The Buddy hosted by Murray State University at the Miller Memorial Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday.
Alex Hamm, who shot a 66 in the second round, led the Purple and White with a 78-66-70=214. The 214 is the team low over 54-holes this season. His three round total is good enough to finish 29th in the field of mostly NCAA Division I golfers.
His second round 66 is tied for the third lowest single round in Trevecca history. His 78-66=144 through the first two rounds is the best 36-hole total of the year for the Trojans.
The team, playing in a field of mostly NCAA Division I teams, recorded a 307-292=599 through the first 36-holes. The 307-292-296=895 through 54-holes equals the best of the year for the team. The 292 is the low team round of the year.

TROJAN INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
Alex Hamm
His 214 his seven strokes better than his best 54-hole total this year, it is also his career low.
Hamm now has five par-or-better rounds of the year, three are under-par. He had four par-or-better rounds a year ago as a freshman, pushing is career totals to nine.
Hamm shot even par on the par three holes, good enough for fifth in the field. He is twelfth in the field with a three-under-par 4.67 average on the par five holes.
Hamm had eight birdies through 36 holes. His 11 total birdies ranked fourteenth in the field.
Zane Johnson
His 225 is his best 54-hole total of the year and his career best.
His first round 72 ties a career low and he matched his previous low with 74 in the second round.
Johnson turned in his best 36-hole total of the year and his career with his four-over-par 146 through the first two rounds.
His 36 pars are tied for sixth in the field.
Sank all four of his birdies on Monday.
Cameron Fletcher-Smith
The 222 is his best 54-hole total of the year.
Fletcher-Smith recorded three birdies in the first two rounds and added four on Tuesday for seven total.
The 36-hole total of 149 through the first two rounds is the best of the year for Fletcher-Smith.
Jack Kenmare
Had one birdie on Monday and two on Tuesday for three over the 54-holes.
William Moser
Moser had three birdies through the first two rounds on Monday and added three on Tuesday.
Lucas Barrett
Had six birdies through Monday's two rounds and added one on Tuesday for seven.
TROJAN TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
The team finished with 157 pars, fifth most in the field. The Trojans combined for 31 birdies.
UP NEXT
The team heads toward their winter break before opening the Spring portion of their schedule February 26-27 at the Ram Spring Invite hosted by the University of Mobile at the Magnolia Grove Golf Course.
Later, the team fine tunes its game prior to heading into the post season hosting the Music City Invitational at the Hermitage Golf Course April 15-16.
The 2023 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships are April 22-24 at The Pearl Club in Owensboro, Ky.
