Box Score CANTON, Ohio. – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (8-3-4, 6-2-3 Great Midwest) traveled to Malone University (1-9-3, 0-8-3 Great Midwest) and won 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
THE SERIES
The Trojans improved to 6-1-2 all-time versus the Pioneers. The Trojans went 1-0-1 last season against Malone, which included a 0-0 double overtime tie on October 16th.
THE MATCH
Malone opened up the scoring early as they scored on their first shot of the game just 4:45 into the first half. Makena Schlosser responded with a goal on the Trojan's second shot of the game to tie it at 1-1 in the 23rd minute. Trevecca kept the pressure on Malone's defense and took a 2-1 lead in the 44th minute off of a Skye Baun shot.
The teams settled in in the second half as scoring became scarce. Both Goalkeepers settled in as well as both made save after save. Neither team scored in the second half as the Trojans took the game 2-1. Trevecca had the advantage in both shots and shots on goal 13-8 and 7-6, respectively. The Trojans also had a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Trevecca returns home next week to face Findlay (7-4-2, 6-3-1 Great Midwest) on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m and Cedarville (11-2-1, 9-1 Great Midwest) on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Trojan Soccer Complex.
