Trevecca Women’s Soccer | TNU Offense Shines in Final Regular Season Tune-up

NASHVILLE — The last time the Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team had scored multiple goals in a match was on October 7 when the Trojans played Union (Tenn.) to a 2-2 draw on the road. On Tuesday, Trevecca got the offense going in a big way as they played their final match before the postseason.

Trevecca (7-5-4, 4-4-3 GSC) netted three second half tallies, and the Trojans equalled their largest goal output of the season, as they blanked the Valdosta State University Blazers (6-6-3, 5-3-2 GSC) 4-0 at the Trevecca Soccer Pitch.

THE SERIES
The win is the first in series history for the Trojans over the Blazers. The teams played to a 1-1 draw in Nashville in 2025, after VSU had taken the first ever meeting in Valdosta in 2024.

THE MATCH
The first half took on a tentative tone, as both teams struggled to generate shot opportunities. The squads combined for six shots - three apiece - in the opening 45, with each team managing just a single shot on target.

Valdosta's shot on goal came in the 45th minute, and it was saved by Trevecca's goalkeeper, Mary Bauchou. Trevecca's chance, though, went a little differently.

Riley Kate Collins picked up the assist as Olivia Perroni netted the first goal of the match with 38 minutes elapsed in the contest. She put the shot in low near the left post to break the ice, and the Trojans carried a 1-0 lead into intermission.

Perroni added a second tally in the 63rd minute, this time taking a feed from Isabella Mawson and cashing it in to double the Trojans' lead. Less than four minutes later, Kate Nelson found the net with Evvy Hainline earning the helper, and suddenly the Trojans had a three goal cushion.

Elsa Bengtsson capped the scoring in the 84th minute with her sixth goal of the campaign, and Kylie Bradshaw picked up the assist. The final six minutes and change elapsed with each team getting one final shot, and Trevecca claimed the win, 4-0.
