SERIES HISTORY/NOTES

Saturday's second game marked the 13th meeting in the all-time series, and the Chargers now hold a 9-4 advantage.

HOW IT HAPPENED

GM 1

It was a strong start right out the gate for the Trojans, as Braden Odom's leadoff homer in the top of the first inning gave Trevecca a 1-0 lead. It didn't take long for the Trojans to build on the advantage, as John O'Dwyer's reach on a fielder's choice scored Shawn Walllwork to double the lead. A throwing error by UAH catcher Colin Brewer allowed Joseph McNamee to reach first and it scored Ethan Harrison. The Trojans led 3-0 before UAH stepped up to the plate.

Harrison's RBI single scored Jordan Jackson in the second, and David Milam's groundout to shortstop scored Trey Vanderpool in the third. Jackson singled to left center in the third to score McNamee and put the Trojans ahead 6-0. A rain delay put a pause to the game for approximately an hour, but play resumed and a two RBI double by Brett Barbee in the bottom of the sixth put UAH on the board to cut the Trevecca lead to 6-2, but the Trojans weren't done. Odom's electric day continued with a two run shot over the right field wall to score Jackson and Milam. A 9-2 Trevecca lead became 10-2 when Woolwork scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the sixth, and that was the final score in game one.

GM 2

Braden Odom's red-hot day continued, leading the Trojans off with a solo homer for the second game in a row. An RBI double and a two-run shot by BJ Bradham was the UAH response in the second and third innings, respectively, to take a 3-1 lead.

Bryant's Goolsby's RBI single in the sixth and Jordan Jackson's RBI double in the seventh tied it up at 3-3, and the Trojans re-took the lead in extra innings in the top of the ninth with a sacrifice fly by John O'Dwyer to score David Milam.

A sacrifice bunt by Colin Brewer scored Daniel McCary in the bottom of the ninth to keep the Chargers in it, and a throwing error by Trey Vanderpool with the bases loaded scored Griffins for Alabama-Huntsville to take the 5-4 victory.
